Global Day of Prayer and God is calling us to Himself for the blessing of the nations . . . our country, state and city! Let's join together and be a part of this very special Day! This is an All-City-Region event! It is for ALL who call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth.

In the Spirit of our Unity in Christ, a core group of pastors from our region have decided together that this year the event will be hosted at Adventure Christian Church! The entire facility of worship center (3000+), Chapel (500+), Classrooms (500+), and the outdoor Amphitheater (1-2 thousand) will hopefully be sufficient for the simulcast. The gathering is FREE! No charge for parking! The doors open at 5:00 pm, with worship starting about 5:45 pm, and the program starting at 6:30 pm. The evening program is slated to go until about 8:00 pm, but the time is flexible to go as long as the Lord wants!

Everyone senses the Lord is calling us together to experience His presence and love in an intimate corporate way as hundreds of millions of people from around the world pass this day in worshipping Him in Spirit and Truth! The Sacramento region will be one of the last time zones on earth to heap praises upon the Lord, the Creator, the Almighty, the God and Father of us all! Come and enter in to this most unique and glorious time ever in our region!

Pastors & Leaders Global Day of Prayer gathering at ARCADE Church

At the Global Day of Prayer gathering at the ARCO Arena on May 15th, an announcement was made regarding a special follow-up worship and prayer time at Arcade Church, (Map) Sunday, July 10th, at 6:00 pm. That gathering is still on and planned for that date of July 10th. It will be a time of worship, prayer, viewing a segment of the Transformation video series, testimonies, open forum, and a focus follow-through to consider for the coming next 12 months. Some ideas that will be discussed will be a city-wide focus on houses of prayer.

Pastor Jackson Senyonga has shared the importance building the foundation of home, church and regional prayer focuses. These thoughts will be talked about on a city-wide bases for the whole church to walk forward in a spirit of unity in Christ through prayer for the whole city.

On September 10, here in Sacramento, there will be a Teaching Your Church To Prayer - one day seminar, by Pastor Daniel Henderson of Grace Church and Strategic Renewal Int'l. SACRAMENTO:05/15/05: The Global Day of Prayer event at the ARCO Arena has been one of the major highlights for the Church of the Greater Sacramento region and valley. Pastors who met with pastor Jackson Senyonga before the event had a very special time of sharing and prayer for one another, their churches, and for our city, state and country. A focus that had really just begun to sink into the hearts of many pastors is their perspective on relating to the city. Pastors are beginning to open up to the fact that God has called them to nurture and equip their people and together to pastor the city. Pray that profound ministry focus will truly become the conviction of all who hear it.

With nearly 10,000 people in attendance, the ARCO Arena was filled with worship and praise unto the LORD Jesus Christ. Hearts and lives were make right with God and with one another. Joe Pursch of KFIA, and Marilyn Jackson, National Day of Prayer regional coordinator, report that the gathering was one of the most powerful events they had ever attended. Prayer and Worship to an Audience of One was the significant focus.

The well organized gathering, thanks to the GDoP logistics team, unfolded without any mishaps or major concerns. Congregations from many different culture and languages with present and entered into the worship with abandonment. Prayer and intercession were focused on by designated intercessors. Prayer Walking the Arena and Prayer Driving around the Arena were prayer activities believed to have made a significant contribution to the positive spiritual results .

Pray for the continuation of the Spirit at this Global Day of Prayer gathering to multiply. Do acts of kindness together as members of the Body of Christ will be displayed in the next 90 days and the year ahead. The next Global Day of Prayer gathering will be Sunday, June 4th. GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER STARTED IN AFRICA
In July 2000 and in Febuary 2002 God gave two visions to Graham Power, a successful businessman and relatively new convert that Africa will become the "Light to the World." Over the years since those visions, an annual prayer event has exploded across Africa through Transformation Africa. In 2001, one stadium in Cape Town, South Africa was filled with 45,000 praying people. The next year it expanded to eight stadiums and 350,000 people. In 2003, 2.5 million gathered in 130 stadiums. On May 2, 2004, the movement exploded to ten times that many when 22 million rallied in prayer at more than 2,000 sites throughout the 56 nations of Africa. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ from all the Nations of the Globe, it is with great excitement and an expectant heart that we enter the last few days leading up to Pentecost Sunday – 15th May 2005.

As reports are received from around the World, with many millions of people joining in the 10 days of 24 hour prayer, we are so aware of GOD’s amazing presence.

Having just returned from a 5 day “Transform World” gathering in Indonesia, with a closing event on Ascension Day (5th May) at the Jakarta stadium where 120 000 people in the stadium (and 30 000 outside unable to get space) joined via satellite feed with 76 other stadium gatherings (ranging from 50 000 to 5000 people each), a torch “was lit” for the commencement of the 10 days of 24 hour prayer around the Globe.

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in once place. Suddenly a sound like blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2: 1 - 4

Reports are being received from Fiji, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Wales, India, Africa (expect over 40 million to be joining in prayer), South America, and North America and many many others, as over 150 nations prepare to join in the first ever Global Day of Prayer over an 18 hour time span on the 15th May.

“Who has ever heard of such a thing?
Who has ever seen such things?
Can a country be born in a day
or a nation be brought forth in a moment?” Isaiah 66:8

“And I, because of their actions and their imaginations,
am about to come and gather all nations and tongues,
and they will come and see my glory.” Isaiah 66:18

I pray that GOD will hear our prayers, forgive our sin and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14)

May we be filled with the Holy Spirit!!

A team of intercessor friends have shared a vision they received:
“It was felt that the Lord is saying that every stadium will be the Lord’s footstool (Isaiah 66:1) and that we His people, will be washing His feet with tears even as the woman in Luke 7:38. True worship and prayer from the heart at His footstool is required as Ps 99:5 and Ps 132:7 states. Jesus’ enemies will be seen to be His footstool (Ps 110:1; Heb 1:13). As Joshua and his men placed their feet on the neck of their enemies, so His foot is upon the neck of His enemies (Josh 10:24).”

“From the west, men will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.” Isaiah 59:19

I pray that GOD will “set a sign among us” (Isaiah 66:19), and that we will “come and see His glory” (Isaiah 66:18)

SKY ANGEL Supports Global Day of Prayer !

Last week on Thursday, May 5, the National Day of Prayer was celebrated on the Day of Ascension all over our nation. Thousands came together to pray for our nation of America and for revival in our world.

This coming Sunday, May 15, will be the Day of Pentecost, and the first Global Day of Prayer will again call the nations together to ask God for a "greater Pentecost."

While the National Day of Prayer and Global Day of Prayer are two separate observances, both are projects of America's National Prayer Committee, with the global event in cooperation with the International Prayer Council and Transformation Africa organizers

While the day of prayer will begin in Fiji, the latter part of prayer on the Day of Pentecost Sunday activities will air from Reunion Arena in downtown Dallas,TX, which is serving as the flagship location for Global Day of Prayer events on the North American continent.

There are many prayer events taking place at various locations across America. Prayer Walking and Prayer Driving, OUTSIDE THE ARENA, is encouraged on SATURDAY AND SUNDAY at your leisure. For SUNDAY Prayer Walking, INSIDE THE ARENA, arrive early and start walking and praying. The doors to the arena will open at 5:00 pm. If you'll be there at 5:00 pm, we'll have your prayers in the building for an hour before the service. Pray for God's people TO COME! It's always important to keep things in perspective! "I will build my church"... and no hellish gate or other circumstances will prevail against what Jesus Christ wants to do! So, regardless of how sports entertainment may sway, the Sacramento Valley IS STILL HAVING THE GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER - MAY 15TH, 6 PM. We're planning on the ARCO Arena's availability. The logistics committee, made up of individuals from several congregations is trusing the LORD to open the Gates at the ARCO Arena on May 15th, and are planning accordingly. HOWEVER, if the LORD leads in another direction we want to be flexible, as the Church of the Northern California Valley, to make changes at the last minute. All through the night from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 25,000 pastors mobilized three million Christians to pray in 50 stadiums -- one in each district of the nation. They prayed for their nation and for global harvest to cover the earth. Jackson says in the coming years they expect 13 million, or half the population of Uganda, to gather for such annual prayer meetings. They are seeing many Muslims come to faith in Jesus.

The Lord has shown them there must be six levels of prayer so that God can harvest a nation to Himself:
1) prayers in homes,
2) prayers in churches,
3) prayers in communities,
4) prayers in cities,
5) prayers in a nation, and
6) prayers for the nations.

These six waves create an atmosphere where God can dwell.

Today sixteen people showed up at Adventure Church in Roseville to talk about the possibility of having an event for the GREATER REGION of the SACRAMENTO VALLEY at the ARCO Arena. Those present obviously have a deep hunger for God and especially desire to see God manifest Himself in our Valley. To that end, by faith, these pastors stepped out in faith to commit themselves to coming together on Pentecost Sunday, May 15th, 6:00 pm, at the ARCO Arena. There are a number of hurdles to crossover, but this is not stopping these men of faith. Please pray for them, that their number will grow, and that God will provide the proper venue, and all the details surrounding such an adventure of trusting in the LORD.
